Weโre still in the middle of the spring holiday, and honestly, Iโve been feeling a bit stuck this past week. I havenโt done anything particularly productive apart from housework and taking care of my daughter.
Only this week did I finally get back into my gym routine. Lately, Iโve been feeling a bit heavier, and I had assumed that fasting during Ramadan would help me lose maybe 1โ2 kgโbut it turned out quite the opposite. The sluggish, crash-like feeling after breaking fast really made it hard to stay active, and it dragged on for more than a month.
Iโve been a little anxious, wondering if Iโm losing muscle. Even though I managed to go to the gym 2โ3 times over the past few weeks, I know that without consistency, I wonโt see much progress. Itโs also clear that I need to slowly improve my dietโIโve been indulging in way too much junk food and sweets lately. That definitely needs to changeโฆ slowly. sobs
Anyway, enough of me rambling about my insecuritiesโlol. Letโs talk about something happier: Eid! We celebrated Eid here in Switzerland on the 20th of last month. We celebrated the first day of Eid at the Brunei Ambassadorโs residence, and it was such a lovely gathering. Alhamdulillah, my daging rendang turned out beautifully tender this time.

There was an amazing spread of food and dessertsโrambang mata meliat!
Sadly, I completely forgot to try the Basque cheesecake, which I had been eyeing all day.
My daughter also received a little angpau (money gift) from one of the officers, and the packaging was so unique.

We ended the day with a family photo in our traditional outfitsโsuch a special moment.
