My Etsy Shop is Open!

Kyaaaa! I did it once again. I reopened my Etsy shop and it’s out on the market.

I opened it on Wednesday to have my seasonal products on sale. It is soon than what I expected. Right now we have two on the list and both are for calendars and planners. So this is kinda a soft opening? Idk. But I should have made an undated planner and made it plain as in not seasonal, but my hand could not stop drawing a rabbit! So I’ve got to sell it fast! Lol.

Nag in The Head

‘You shouldn’t have opened the store with less than 20 listings.’ I remember the tip was shared by a lot of Etsy owners all over Youtube. These words have been constantly playing in my head. It’s a tip. A good one. But why does it sound more like a warning than a tip? Haha. I admit I did some research before opening, I mean, who doesn’t, but I think in my case that’s excusable. It’s not a crime; it’s a little uncertain if someone is going to buy them. For instance, my calendar, which I did last November. I should’ve sold it during that month, but since I’m not ready to open the shop yet and I only made one product at that time, I let it go until it was l…late? Now it’s April 2022 I just listed it in the shop. Lol. But hey, I’m happy that they are out now. I felt such relief. Now, 18 more to go and 7 more are waiting to be listed.

More and more!

You heard me right. Some are on the way. I just have to go through the photo shoot process and do the product details. This is a very time-consuming process. This is why only digital products are available, as they do not require shipping. That part… I still need to dive deep into it to make sure there are no more mistakes in the future. So I’m hoping I can work it out and get it over with and get back to finishing episodes of my Webtoon story.

Social Media

Gosh! It plays a very important role. Why? In order for people to see and find out what you have in the store, you should have this. They are the methods of promoting your products. All I got is Instagram, Twitter, my YT channel, and this blog to promote my products. Some shop owners I followed are using other platforms such as Tik Tok and Twitch. I don’t know if this really helped, but if you have experience and you use the same strategy as them, feel free to share your experience and leave us some comments. I’m ready to give it a shot.

How To Change Your Twitter Banner using your iPad

There are a few goals I want to accomplish this month. I currently have been busy making products for my future Etsy shop and I need to get ready to use any social media I have right now for the promotion and one of them is Twitter.

I hadn’t put any banner ever since I decided to use my Twitter as a means to share my life updates, announcing whenever there’s a new vlog has been uploaded on my YouTube channel and sharing my new artwork I’ve been creating. It used to be the image of Lake Leman, Geneva though. Since it had been empty for couple of months I decided to give it a new banner.

I illustrated this for my Twitter. I like to see my Twitter has a banner now. These are easy steps if want to change your Twitter banner.

The illustration of the Twitter banner was done by Dorrie J also known as mizarwen

How to Change Your Twitter Banner

  1. Make the banner. If you want to use any image you can do it. It’s the simplest and the fastest thing to do. But I want to transform my Twitter account as a way to promote my vlog and art so I decided to put my drawing as the banner. I’m using drawing app, Procreate to draw it.
  2. The dimension size I use for the banner is 1500 px X 500 px because this is the standard size that Twitter recommended.

3. I made the illustration from scratch, by sketching it first and later on coloring it.

4. After you are done with the drawing and save it into JPG or PNG, you then go to your Twitter profile located on the left sidebar.

5. Go and edit the image on top of display photo. Remove your old picture if you have one first and upload it into a new one.

Draw This in Your Style Challenge

It’s another art post! This time it’s my Draw This in Your Style Challenge that I took from an illustrator I followed, lobomaravilha.

This wasn’t the only #DTIYS challenge I’ve created. Back when I’m still a noob in creating art digitally I did try Sara Faber’s DTIYS but I had to take it down because I wanted to upload only the one that suits my IG colour palette. And the reason I joined this is that I want to present my version because her art is so freaking cute! Plus, the character is almost the same as the character I draw for my future webtoon character, Lily. So I thought it would be easier for me to draw it (little that I know. Haha).
