Shop Update

Hi, lovelies! How have you guys been doing? Aside from having a little anxiety about certain things recently I’m doing good (so far).

I guess that’s a normal problem for parents when their child started to refuse to eat their meals. However, as we had a cold in the last couple of weeks, my daughter (who is autistic) had refused to drink her drinks. Since Autism kid is known to be picky eaters, having her to sit down and eating like normal kids do: vegetables or fruits and meat, that kind of method is already gone since she was 4 years old. It is bad enough that we are struggling to feed her, to make her weight don’t go lower than the average weight, right after she recovered from the flu she refused to drink her drinks. I suppose she gets scared drinking water or juice drinks could hurt her throat. I want her to stay dehydrated every day. She manage to drink less than 300 ml a day. That’s barely enough. I know if it’s less than that it will lead to another health problem which my and husband doesn’t want to happen.

Luckily the school has given us a list of speech therapists available for us (before there isn’t any). Speech therapy? But isn’t that only for kids having a speech problem only? We also thought that too. But this had been recommended by my daughter’s school teachers, and we just follow. They said that even though the therapy helps to improve her speech, the therapy also could help her how to handle difficulties in feeding a child. Hearing this I feel defeated. They advised us to find parents who have the same problems so that we could share and perhaps could learn a few tips for raising an Autism child. Yet it isn’t easy to find one though. So that’s one of the main causes of my anxiety that you guys now know.

Changes Are Good

Bonjour my lovelies!

How are you guys doing? Good? It’s already February and winter is still here. So many things have changed. But I feel not ready for next season yet. Is it just me or do you guys feel the same as well?

Lately, I have felt super pumped. I set my mind that from this day I have to do workouts or walk no matter what and will see the progress after 6 months. A new year resolution? Probably. But this time it’s different. I want to change something so that I feel good about myself.

What has changed?

I do…
☆ 20 crunches (2 reps) a day
4 mins of workouts. I managed to do 2 reps so far. I follow the video from this YT channel. It looks easy and simple, but it isn’t. Or do 6000 steps on my walking pad.

Eating healthy. I’m trying to do a balanced diet, which I have done in the past and I wanted to do it again because I feel full and had eaten less junk food.

2MAD. So OMAD is a little drastic – not that I have never done that; I feel 2MAD just fits me. I usually eat one hard-boiled egg and coffee around 9am and have my lunch around 1pm.

2 liters a day. This is my goal. So far I manage to drink 1.5 liters of water. By always drinking this I am less craving for sodas and yes, my skin feels less dehydrated.

Collagen and Omega. Recently I have taken these two supplements. Just yesterday I added D3 and garlic supplements. Each of these has many benefits for my skin, blood pressure, heart, guts, and bone. I have noticed my hair kind of thicken a bit and my skin was not dry.

Productive. I try to do as many sketches a day in my sketchbook. It’s a waste if I purchased the book, but did not use it. Usually, I only do sketches and illustrations digitally. I missed the feeling of pride and self-accomplishment for completing my drawings in one single book if you know what I meant. Therefore, I need to change this.

Reading. I didn’t reach my reading goal last year. So this year I try to make a habit of reading one chapter per day. If I commit this every day I can finish 4 or 5 books in no time within a year *finger crossed*

One at a time. Many things always crowded my mind, so I wanted to try this method of thinking to see if this doesn’t stress me out – instead of trying to do sketches, editing vlogs, illustrations and try to come up with good content within a week, I focus on one task per week. Say if this week I do all sketches, next week I only focus on editing my backlog videos. Talking about videos, I’ve uploaded new vlogs. Check it out ♡

Just to get creative and try to find something to attract more readers who love art to visit my blog. Hence, I share with you guys – my illustration of Forest Witch. The sketch was made 2 years ago and I had been keeping it in a stack folder of Procreate and since I needed to get things done and up ASAP on here, I just took this and colored it digitally. It took me 3 days to finish it and I remembered I sketched this one whole day. Perhaps, this could be used as one of the contents that I put in my vlog. Or maybe there could be another new drawing. But yeah, that I still don’t know yet.

I am proud that I managed to finish this so quickly. Making a webtoon where I usually draw and color 70 panels help me work the illustration faster than I expected. Of course, I bet a pro illustrator could do that in one day. But I’m just a novice. I just need to learn and practice more to get on their level. For now, I can only say it’s a hobby and if the webtoon hires me then I have to put my heart 100% into making lots of this.

Oh, did I tell you I make a webtoon as well? Yes, I am. Right now, I am still busy finishing the second episode of my romance/comedy series. It takes a long, long time to finish; from the original plan that I could do 1 episode per month, it is taking me more than 6 months to finish drawing almost the end of the episode. Most of the time I juggle my time to do some vlog’s editing and also, of course, my real life. What I know, famous webtoonist who update their comic per week (who are making long episode) or 3 posts per week (who are making a comic strip) has some assistants on their back. Me? I’m a one-man show. Things can be a little chaotic if I do all the things at once. That’s why before I get so productive these few weeks I had taken a long break, just to clear my mind and be able to rest. The topic will get deeper, but I for sure will blog about it next time =)
